The 148th British Open Golf Championship, will take place at Royal Portrush Golf Club in County Antrim, Northern Ireland.
To celebrate this major sporting event, 2 of our Charlie India operators from Northern Ireland will be active.
Geoff 68 CI 001 and Ralph 68 CI 749 will call
68 CI/BO from the 13th to the 21st of july.
Geoff 68 CI 001 anb Ralph 68 CI 749 will be working both from homebase and mobile station.
Geoff's working conditions consist of a Kenwood 480 with a stock microphone and a Hygain penatrator 500 antenna when he is homebased.
He operates at 1400 feet using his Grant 2 premium radio when he is static mobile.
Ralph is running a Kenwood TS 590s and a 2 element quad beam antenna from his homebase station and a Kenwood TS 480 sat and president himalaya antenna for his portable station.
