Rafael lives in Soria  which is a municipality and a Spanish city, located on the Douro river in the east of the autonomous community of Castile and León and capital of the province of Soria.

Soria is  known for its medieval streets and Romanesque architecture :

Among the places that must be seen in Soria, the San Pedro Concathedral , the  Church of Santo Domingo,  the Monastery of San Juan del Duero and its medieval bridge stand out.

Originaly from Tenerife in the Canary Islands, Rafael moved to Spain and operates from the province of Soria since 1989.

Rafael is an experienced operator who enjoys all radio contacts : local QSO's, long distance contacts, any DX is an opportunity to meet radio friends and represents a personal challenge to this very well known operator from Spain.

At weekends, Rafael likes to DX portable. His favourite spot is located on a hill that is 1 100 mt high, just on  the outskirts of his city.
