The 'Maddalena Archipelago' is a group of islands in the Strait of Bonifacio between Corsica (France) and north-eastern Sardinia (Italy).
Off the Costa Smeralda, the archipelago is a quiet place of turquoise lagoons, deserted islands where you will find the most heavenly beaches in Sardinia.
To reach this mediterranean paradise, we will have to take 2 ferrys :
the ferry linking Corsica to Sardinia take us to Santa Teresa di Gallura, main harbour of the sardinian north coast.
Then after a short drive of 30 minutes, we will arrive in the city of Palau that where we board the ferry for Maddalena Archipelago.
Our base will be on the main island of the Archipelago, Maddalena where we have rented an appartment.
From the 13th of september until the 23rd of september we intend to activate Maddalena Island, reference M001,
Caprera Island, reference M 005 and Isola Giardinelli reference M027.
Our working conditions will consists of a Yaesu FT 857D with its original microphone and a Supernova mobile antenna by Thunderpole.
3 IOTA on the same QSL card = only one contribution wether you work 1 island or all 3 of the islands.
